Strathclyde Police are appealing for witnesses after a man threatened a female worker at a Glasgow amusement arcade with a knife before escaping with thousands of pounds.
At around 9.15am on Tuesday, police say the man entered Mega Amusements in the city’s Duke Street and brandished a knife in front to the woman before he ran off with the money.
The suspect is a white male who is approximately five feet tall. He had a local accent and was wearing a motorbike helmet, dark coloured trousers, a balaclava and ski gloves.
He made off on a small black and white ‘mini-moto’ type motorbike, which has a number ’7′ plate on the front.
Detective Constable Kenny Shaw of Shettleston Police Office said: “The robbery occurred just as the shop was being opened and from studying CCTV footage we believe that the suspect was near the shop for about half an hour before the robbery took place.
“I would appeal to anyone who saw this man in and around the area of Duke Street between 8.30am and 9.30am on Tuesday morning, or may have seen him riding the motorbike to come forward.”
